Tardy Policy
2007-2008



Tardy Policy and Procedure(Semester)

All students who are tardy will report directly to the nearest tardy station. Stations are located in all assistant principal offices. If a student is more than 15 minutes tardy he or she is no longer tardy but truant and must report directly to their assigned assistant principals’ office. Students who are tardy to class are subject to the following consequences:

•1st Tardy: parent is notified.

•2nd Tardy: parent is notified. Administrator assigns a three hour after school detention.

•3rd Tardy: parent is notified. Student is assigned OCI for 4 days. Parent is notified. Students’ counselor is notified for assistance/intervention.

•4th Tardy: Student is assigned 1 day of suspension. Parent is notified and must accompany student upon his\her return to school.

•5th Tardy: Student is assigned 2 days of suspension. Parent is notified and must accompany student upon his\her return to school.

•6th Tardy: Student is assigned 3 days of suspension. Parent is notified and must accompany student upon his\her return to school.

•The total number of tardies will start over each semester.


Truancy Sweep Policy
1st truancy sweep ---- after school detention – parent notified
2nd truancy sweep --- OCI 4 days – parent notified
3rd truancy sweep --- 1 day suspension- parent notified
4th truancy sweep --- 3 days suspension—parent notified
