My name is Veronica Buggs. I am the Director of Choral Activities at Westfield.

I am a magna cum laude graduate of Prairie View A&M University. My first teaching job was as Choir Director at Lamar High School in Lamar CISD - Rosenberg. From there I went on to tour with the National musical theater production of "Showboat" staring Donald O'Connor and Lonnette McKee. I stayed with the troupe through our move to Broadway and performed at the newly named Gershwin Theatre. During the 10 years I lived in New York City, NY, I was blessed to have been a member of the highly acclaimed premeire performance of the Metropolitan Opera's premiere production of "Porgy & Bess". My other professional credits include "BABY", Sitmar Cruise Line Production "The Big Apple" and as a featured Church Soloists for various churches in NYC. Currently, I am a member of the "Houston Ebony Opera Guild" and although on sabbatical now, have performed with them for over 17 years. I am married with 3 children.

I have been teaching for close to 20 years. In my pursruit of educational excellence, I recieved the Master Degree in Instructional Leadership emphasis in Special Education on Aug 4, 2007 from Sam Houston State University.
