I can schedule a conference on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Please call or email me to schedule in advance at least 48 hours. I will respond within 24 hours. I look forward to speaking with you and being a partner in your child's education. If you have any questions at all, or are concerned about anything (little or big), let me know immediately. I will do my best to solve any problems. Your child is very important to me!
If you are interested in volunteering for my class, please let me know. Once the year gets started, I will need a few parents/grandparents who would be happy to come and read, work on sight words, or any other skills, with my students.

Skill Review Before School Starts: |
Here are some skills to be working on now at home:
* Writing/recognizing first and last name, with the first letter being capital and all the other lowercase.
* Recognizing all the letters and be able to verbally say letter sounds.
* Recognizing simple sight words: I, see, no, yes, dad, mom, a, an, am, and, to, do, like (and color words)
* Counting to 25.
* Recognizing numerals 1-20.
* Tying own shoes without help.
* Zip and button own pants without help. |

Meet the Teacher Night- August 19, 2010
Attention new students and parents! Please come meet me on Thursday from 5:30-7:00 p.m.. You may bring school supplies, if you wish. I am very excited to meet you! This is going to be an awesome year! Thanks to all my new students and parents for coming to meet me! I really had a fun time. I know this is going to be an awesome year! To my past students and family: I loved seeing you and you know how much I miss you. Keep coming back to see me!
First Day of School- August 23, 2010
So exciting! Bring school supplies and be ready for fun! I can't wait to meet you! School is off to a great start! Parents, thank you so much for raising such sweet children. For the first couple of weeks, we are working on classroom procedures and getting to know each other. I love my kindergartners!

Stone Soup Celebration- Kindergarten will be making their very own version of real Stone Soup! Parents are welcome to join us as we celebrate and give thanks for our family and friends!
