When my partner, Sammy Green, came to work here, the first words out of her mouth were..."Peter Pan." To which I responded..."NO!" Flying in our theatre would be next to impossible and the expense would be prohibitive. Well....with my final year upon me (yes, I am going to retire!), I was not going to say "NO!" any longer. After all, the only challenge that I have not faced on this stage was flying. To tackle the impossible, I called upon ZFX Flying Effects to solve the problem. It was difficult, but solve it they did! The flying effects were nothing short of magical! I will never be able to sufficiently express my gratitude to those wonderful folks. Of course, like all children's shows it had the usual bells and whistles, which make these performances a technical nightmare. The flying effects just add to the many things going on backstage making Peter Pan one of the most difficult shows we have ever done. However, the looks on the faces of the children, as always, made it all worth the effort. Not impossible flying effects or hurricanes could Peter Pan off the stage!
