Hi. My name is Tedie Miner. I graduated from high school in Panama City, Fl. After graduating from Gulf Coast Community College, which is also in Panama City, in 1976 (with an AA degree), I enrolled at Central Missouri State University which is in Warrensburg, MO. I earned my BS in Social Work in 1979 and my BSE in Secondary Education in Social Studies along with minors in Psychology and Driver Education in 1981. After two years of teaching at Dulles High School in Fort Bend County and approximately 8 years of managing a commercial driving school I arrived at Westfield in 1992. My husband, Dave, and I will celebrate our 13th anniversary this year. I like to spend my free time reading, writing (especially poetry), listening to music, and working on craft projects.
I teach World History all day.
Power Point slide shows for notes and review are just one example of differentiating instruction through the use of technology. I am excited about a new resource called Smart Board. This will allow for interactive opportunities for the students within the classroom setting. I am looking forward to the numerous possibilities this new tool will provide.
I am looking forward to exploring the world and it's history with my students. |
