At a meeting held on the night of February 6, 2007 parents and students of tenth graders were provided information concerning the BRIDGE Partnership between Spring High School and North Harris College. Tenth grade students who chose to participate in the BRIDGE Partnership were offered services to help prepare them to be "college-ready" by the time they graduate high school.
As part of the program, participants registered to take the COMPASS exam on Saturday, March 3rd. The COMPASS exam consists of three parts: reading, writing, and mathematics. Students who score at a certain level on all three parts of COMPASS will be deemed "college-ready" and able to enroll in dual credit courses at Spring High or North Harris College.
North Harris College provides BRIDGE participants with access to many of their college services including tutoring and advising.
