Welcome to a new year and the third 9-weeks grading period!

In math we are finishing up 2-digit x 2-digit multiplication and dividing 3-digit numbers by a 1-digit divisor. Please help your student practice their facts! We will soon be starting studying probability. That concept lends itself to some interesting activities!

In science we are investigating the effect that water has on the land. In social studies, we are working to gain Texas its freedom from Mexico!

We continue to write, write, write, and work to improve our skills.

We have read several wonderful stories out of our basal reading series. Please ask your child to retell the story to you.

A typical week:

Spelling: Pretest on Monday
Words missed 4 x each and Spelling worksheet due Wednesday
Sentences with all words due Thursday from everyone

Final Test on Friday (those who made a 100% on Monday are exempt!)

Math: study multiplication and division facts
Assignments given Monday and Wednesday - Due Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
