The friendly faces of the Reynold's front office!
Nancy Kaniss, Secretary
Nancy, a native New Yorker, attended Pace University. After working as a legal secretary and administrative assistant for 13 years, her family and she moved to Texas where she took a hiatus to raise her three children. Nancy joined the Reynolds-Oak Creek team in 2001.
Barbara Smith, Registrar
Ms. Smith has worked in the office at Reynolds (Oak Creek) for 17 years, and was the parent of a kindergartener the very first year Oak Creek opened its doors. She was the second president of the PTA and did volunteer work with the PTA/PTO and the school library until she came to work officially in 1989. She and her husband Roland have lived in the Spring school district for 40 years. They have three sons who attended Oak Creek, Wells and Westfield. They also have two granddaughters they have raised who also attended all three Spring schools.
Maggie Andrews, Receptionist
I was born in Houston and been here all my life. I have three great kids, one here at Reynolds, one at Wells and one in the Army reserves. My husband and I are very proud of each one of them. This is my third year at Reynolds Elementary and each year seems to get a little better! I look forward to my future here with the RES Family!
Lupe Cortina, Receptionist
Has been a stay at home mom of four very active kids for the past 19 years. Jenny is currently attending U of H, Joel and Joey attend Westfield and Jackie is a 2nd grader at Reynolds. After being a school volunteer, involved in boy scouts, girl scouts as well as a taxi mom, Lupita decided it was time to try something different besides being a mom.
Karen Nativi, School Nurse
Ms. Nativi is a longtime Houston resident and attended Bammel Middle School before graduating from Spring High. She continued her education at Texas A&M and received her nursing degree from Texas Woman's University. She has a varied background in nursing, including the ER, nursery, obstetrics, and childbrith education. She has four children who all attended Oak Creek. She has been the nurse at Reynolds (Oak Creek) since 1998.
Mary Cook, Health Aide
Mary Cook is a native of Nebraska, but has lived in Texas for the past 28 years. She has been married to Chaunce Cook, a fellow Nebraskan, for the last 30 years. They have 6 children and 12 grandchildren. Mary previously was a marketing representative for Charter Bank and Texas American Title. She came to Reynolds Elementary four years ago and enjoys working with the children in the clinic.
