This is an in-class group project that involves presenting information learned in class, and analyzing a problem with the new information learned to determine the cause of a problem facing a town. Presentations are done as a group, although individual participation counts as half of the test grade. E

This project requires each student to build and fly a hot air balloon made from 12 sheets of gift tissue paper. We time the flight, measure the balloon, calculate density of the air in the room and in the balloon, and determine the relative pressure on the balloon. This will be built in class, and students need to provide 12 sheets of tissue paper for the project's 1st day.
