  Ms. Nancy Crewe

Hello,
My name is Nancy Crewe, and I teach English 4, British Literature. This is my twenty-fourth year at Spring High School, and this will be my 28th year teaching I love to travel to the British Isles, and I have been at least twice each summer for the past several years, including summer sessions at the University of Oxford.

In Engish 4 this year, students will be reading a couple out-of-class novels as well as several pieces in class. The literature we will be reading includes Beowulf, Canterbury Tales, Hamlet, and several other pieces. We will also be doing several research projects, both large and small, throughout the year. Students will also be working on vocabulary and improvement of their grammar skills as they prepare for the world ahead. We will aslo be working on the new SAT test. Those students who need to take the Exit Level TAKS test will be instructed and reviewed for the exam.

My goal is that students can achieve in whatever their futures hold for them.
If you have questions or concerns about your student, please feel free to email me or call the English office and leave a message for me. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
My email address is nancycr@springisd.org and the English office phone number is 832-764-7087.

When a student is absent, makeup work will be given to that student upon the return to class. This will include worksheets, study guides, and instruction sheets.
If a student has missed a test or quiz, I will inform student when the work does need to be made up. Makeup work must conform to the school requirements. This information is located in the Student Handbook. Parents may also email me to find out what work is due.
