Art Fee for Art 2-4 due again in JANUARY |
A project cost fee is required to cover the costs of art supplies and materials. The school district provides funding for equipment that stays permanently in the department, but students are responsible for paying for the materials they use up or take home, just as in other classes. For example, students pay for their own notebook paper, binders, pens, etc. in academic classes.
I'm not able to purchase your child's supplies until he or she pays. We benefit froom school discounts, we buy in bulk, and students share some materials. Therefore, students not only enjoy using much better quality materials, they get them much more cheaply than they could if they had to locate and purchase materials on their own. Students are also assured of having all their supplies on hand when they need them.
I understand that individual circumstances can sometimes make paying for art supplies difficult. If that is the case, I'm happy to accommodate parents who need to pay partial amounts until the entire fee is paid. I just ask that the parent or guardian send a note with their child, email me, or leave a phone message (281-891-7063). Beginning October 23rd, I will have to place a HOLD on students who have not paid and whose parent/guardian has not contacted me (note, email, phone call).
The project cost fee may be paid in cash or with a check. The district requires driver's license number and date of birth on all checks.
Amount due:
Art 1, Advanced Art 1.....$25 per year (we have a grant to cover half the art 1 cost)
Art 2, 3, or 4 Drawing....$25 per semester
Art 2, 3, or 4 Painting.....$40 per semester |
