Meyer Elementary hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Teachers and staff are responsible for supervising students beginning at 7:40 am. Prior to 7:40, please honor the teachers’ preparation time. We ask that you do not drop off students before 7:40 am, when the school’s main entrance is unlocked.

7:40 am: Students who eat breakfast may enter the building.

7:40 am– 8:10 am: Students go directly to their homeroom class.

8:10 am: Morning announcements over the PA system.

8:15 am: Classes begin. All students arriving to class after

8:15 am must present a tardy slip from the Attendance Office.

3:00 pm: Dismissal: Car riders, daycare, walkers, and bus students by grade level will be dismissed through announcements over the PA system.

If you need to change your child’s transportation, please send a note to his or her homeroom teacher, phone the Attendance Office at (281) 586-2680, or fax the change to the Meyer front office at (281) 586-2683.

No transportation changes will be accepted after 2:30 pm.

If you are checking your child out early, you need to check in by 2:30 pm. We must have time to verify your identification and bring the child from class.

Remember that no one may pick up a child unless they are designated on the child’s registration form, and they have proper identification. These procedures are for the safety and protection of your child.
