Fifth Grade Parents!
The library is excited to continue the successful Battle of the Books reading program. Battle of the Books is a literature-based competition among fifth grade students in the district.
Ten library books have been selected by the Battle of the Books Committee for the competition. Below is a list of the titles and authors that are available for checkout in the Northgate Crossing library and public libraries. These books are also available for purchase at bookstores and the school bookfairs.
Participation in this program is voluntary. Interested students should begin reading and becoming familiar with these books now. Reading with an emphasis on detail is suggested.
Competition will begin in February 2009 with a team selection test given to all students who have participated. We hope that your child will want to participate in this challenging and fun program.
