My name is Kim Carlson, and I am one of the teachers of English II at Spring High School. This is my first year at Spring High School, and I am beyond excited to be working at such a wonderful school. I am a native of Garland, TX, a graduate of Texas Tech University, and have worked in Lubbock and Austin. I have a passion for education and my subject matter, and will do whatever is necessary to ensure the success of your student. The course will be challenging, but rewarding! I am looking forward to working with your students, and to a successful school year.

New Policy for Missing/Late Work:
For missing assignments, students will be given an academic detention during which they will complete the missing assignment. Parents will be notified and the students will be given a deadline by which they must serve the detention. If they fail to do so, they receive a 0 on the assignment.

Many class handouts can be found on the Downloads page. All Power Points used in class will be uploaded to the website, and taken down after a month. If students still need the power points after that time, they may see me.
