Hello my name is Mrs.Karen Smith-Duckens. I am entering my fifth year of teaching at Spring High School.
I attended Texas State University and I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University.I love working with children and I strongly believe that there is no such thing as an unteachable child.
I am very excited about teaching all English I classes this year. I've taught 10th graders for the past 4 years and I am excited about this new adventure.
I am an Asst. Track coach for the Lady Lion track team. I coach the JV team. I am very involved in my community and I share my zeal of working with others with other young ladies.
I am the sponsor for the Mademoiselle Club. The Mademoiselles is a club geared towards teenage girls who carry themselves with the utmost respect and poise while serving their school and the community. These young ladies work very hard to serve their school and Spring community. |
