Megan Lynn Gibson (born March 25, 1986 in Spring, Texas) is an All American softball player for the National Pro Fastpitch's Philadelphia Force. She was selected by the Force as the No. 2 pick in the 2008 NPF Senior Draft.[1] Megan is currently playing in Japan for the Denso Women's Pro Softball Team. She played college softball at Texas A&M from 2004–2008. In the 2008 season, she was collegiate national player of the week from February 25 - March 2.[2] Later that season, she became the first Big 12 player to be named both Big 12 Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year.[3][4] She led her team to win the program's second Big 12 regular season and first tournament championship. In the postseason, she led her team to the Final Series of the 2008 Women's College World Series.
She graduated from Texas A&M in May 2008.[5]

Blinn College: Brown earned First Team All-Region XIV and Second Team All-Midwest Region honors as a freshman en route to leading her team to a conference championship and a fourth place finish nationally. At the World Series, she won two games, including a 4-0 shutout of Florida CCJ and picked up one save. The team finished with a 56-11 record in her only season. Brown was equally good in the circle and at the plate. As a pitcher, she went 21-3 with a 1.96 earned run average while striking out 96 batters in 157.1 innings. At bat, she hit .406 with a team high 23 doubles, 16 home runs, 81 runs batted in and a .777 slugging percentage.
High School: Brown was a four-time all-district performer at Spring HS. She was the District 16-5A Most Valuable Player as a senior and earned first team all-district honors in three of four years. She led the team to two playoff appearances.
Personal: Brown is the daughter of Bo and Danette Brown and is studying Mathematics.
