English III H and English IV is designed to continue the learning process in high school for college bound students where a student’s reading, writing, and speaking skills will be emphasized for preparation for advancing to college or career.

Throughout the year, students will review and refine language and usage skills. Emphasis will be placed on reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Vocabulary skills will be stressed throughout the year.

Students will review and prepare for the TAKS test, given in the Spring Semester

Advanced writing units will include narration, expository, personal, descriptive, critical analysis, a research paper along with comparison elements.

The English IIIH and English IV will read American Literature (IIIH) and British Literture (IV)
