 The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is designed to prepare high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights and responsibilities as American citizens. The program offers extracurricular activities such as drill teams, color guard, academic, physical fitness, orienteering, rifle and spirit teams. etc. Team practices are after school and there are specific days for each team to practice.
All Cadets in the program will be issued uniforms at no cost to the students and they will be required to wear them in accordance with Cadet uniform regulations and when directed by both the Senior Naval Science Instructor (Captain Boyer) and the Naval Science Instructors (Senior Chief Reynolds and Gunny Gilchrist). Should a Cadet lose or damage any uniform item he or she will be required to pay for it's replacement.
Twenty (10) Community Service hours per semester are required and can be earned by participating in various NJROTC sponsored events.
