Dear parents,

My name is Jose Chavez and I am one of the Spanish Teachers at Spring High School .I am thrilled to be here working with your child. I was born in Mexico City and I went to school in Mexico until I was a teenager. Then I came to the United States to study on a full tennis scholarship, I went to school at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro Arkansas . I have taught Spanish since 1996. I am so excited to share what I know with the children of Spring and to learn from them as well.

Through many different techniques, I hope to share with your student a more advanced introduction to Spanish. Your child will be able to experience what is available to them as they advance to College and beyond. In our changing, technologically, advanced world , students will have many opportunities to engage in multiple language use as never before .

Success in languages will be a combined effort of not only your student, but for you and me. I will give them the materials, notes and information to do well. The students must keep an organized notebook, bring his or her books everyday, and come to class ready to learn . I hope you will be instrumental in keeping your child organized, prepared and ready to face each school day with enthusiasm.
