I LOVE TEACHING MUSIC!! Since the 8th grade, singing and music have been my PASSION.

This is my 25th year to teach high school choir and my 13th year at Spring. I believe that music is an essential part of everyone's life and that singing makes us "feel", feeds our soul, and helps develop us into better human beings.

I am looking forward to another great year in the SHS choral department. In addition to our normal busy calendar, we are excited and honored that the Chorale Women have been selected to perform for the Texas Music Educator's Associaton convention in Feb., 2007. This is the highest honor bestowed on a choir in the state and is the 3rd time that a Spring choir has been selected to perform at the TMEA convention(the Chorale performed in 1997 and 2004).

This year there are 6 choirs offered during the school day and 3 offered after school: Intermediate Women, Concert Women, A Cappella Women, Concert Men, Chamber, Chorale Men, Chorale Women and Chorale. All choirs are auditioned and students are ability grouped where they can enjoy the most success and contribute the most to the overall success of the choir. Each class works bell-to-bell,works HARD,MUST LOVE TO SING and has FUN. These are essential ingredients necessary in developing excellent choirs.

I am very thankful for the support provided by the SHS and SISD administration, our amazing booster club/parents and to work with two OUTSTANDING co-workers: Mrs. Amy Lewis and Mr. David Landgrebe.
