I'm Dan Twomey--a proud graduate of The University of Houston--GO COOGS!--and I'm in my 23rd year in the Business Department at Spring High School. I teach Accounting, Web Mastering, and Recordkeeping.

The Accounting classes learned to balance the Accounting Equation, and then went into debits and credits. We are currently journalizing transactions. We will finish the Accounting Cycle for a proprietorship by the end of the first semester.

The Web classes are working with HTML, the foundation for Web pages. The Web classes will also learn some Photoshop during the fall semester.

Recordkeeping students will learn the basics of money management and personal finance during the 2008-2009 school year.

I'm also the UIL Accounting sponsor at SHS. The 2008 UIL Accounting team took 2nd place in the District 16-5A Spring Academic Meet.
