Let's expand by exploring the places our mind can take us. |
Hello. My name is Christine McLaughlin. I teach English I and English II Honors. This is my second year at Spring High School and I am enjoying it. I am a native Louisianian, but I am excited to call Texas my new home.
Parents,
Please feel free to contact me anytime through email or phone. My email is cmclaugh@springisd.org. A calendar is given to each of my students at the start of each six weeks which details important due dates. I also have a calendar uploaded for you here which can be downloaded.
If there is ever any question as to my expectations, please contact me. I can be reached before school each day, after school, and during my conference period which is as follows: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (8:10-9:00); Thursday (9:45-11:05).
Anytime students need to make up assignments or have a tutorial session, I have tutorials every Tuesday and Thursday until at least 3:30. I am also available every morning before school by 6:30.
I am so honored to have the opportunity to teach my students. I will do my very best to make each day positive and worthwhile. |

English I |
I teach English I 1st, 3rd, and 4th periods. We are starting a new semester and TAKS tests coming up very soon. Preparing for this state assessment will be our focus in class this six weeks. Each week we will have a specific skill to focus on. I will be asking students to come in to tutorials for more one-on-one instruction. |

English II Honors |
I teach English II Honors 5th, 6th, and 7th periods. This six weeks we will be reading several important pieces of literature such as Antigone and Anthem by Ayn Rand. With TAKS around the corner, we will also be focusing on improving close reading and writing skills. I will have a calendar with important due dates posted very soon. |
