Poetry Research Assignment |
Attached is the Poetry Assignment and the outline for the Essay.
all work (including rough draft)is due at the end of class on Monday.
For the project, you need:
- three poems printed off from one poet
- literary devices marked on each poem (list is on assignment paper)
- A theme for each poem written at the end of each
- An over-all theme for the author's poetry "x poet writes mostly about ____" This should be written into the middle of the "fishbone" handout
- Facts from 3 sources about the poet's life. Facts show how the poet's life relates to his/her theme. (Things from their life that might have lead him/her to write that kind of poetry) Absolute minimum of three related facts.
- Rough Draft of Essay, following the outline given on assignment page |
