My name is Beth Starmack and this is my sixth year to teach 7th grade science at Twin Creeks Middle School. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University. I have a daughter who is a Junior at the University of Texas - Arlington and a son who is a Senior at Spring High.

Our curriculum incorporates a lot of cooperative group learning which puts the student at the center of the learning with the teacher in the role of facilitator. Both daily and major grades will be taken from these activities. There will also be one major unit test each 6 weeks.

Our textbook will be used as a reference tool this year and we will have a classroom set. If you want to access a book from home, you can go to the McGraw Hill site by by visiting the Links Page. This will let you browse the actual text book by either chapter or subject.
Our lab book is Gateways and is only available in the classroom.

Unit 6 test is Tuesday, June 2.

All students may make 20 or more study cards for an extra 5 points on the test as well as get their test review sheet signed for another 5 points!
