2008 Linda Lorelle College Weekend

Fourth Annual LLSF "College Preparatory Conference" January 19, 2008

Twenty-five Bammel Middle School students and staff and PTO parents participated in this excellent weekend college activity.

The Conference addressed the following topics:

• How to choose a college
• The Admission Process
• Financial Aid
• Campus Life & Housing

SPECIAL TOPIC JUST FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
• High School 101: How early is too early to start thinking about college?

Lunch was provided free of charge and the sessions were moderated by Houston television or radio personalities. The day wrapped up with an opportunity for students and their parents to mingle informally with the panel participants and the many colleges representatives and to take part in a drawing for numerous door prizes, including two $1,000 scholarships.

We look forward to attending the conference each year and thank Linda Lorelle Foundation for their initiative in providing college planning to our students and families.
