Greater Houston Coin Club offers the Coins for A's reward program for students under the age of 18 who are enrolled in elementary, middle or high schools in the Houston area and Southeast Texas! Check this link for more information:Coins in the Classroom.
Let's help feed the world!

At Freerice.com, playing a vocabulary game fills your bowl of rice, which is then donated to feed the hungry. Sponsor ads are present on the site.

According to Snopes.com, this is legitimate, and the food is donated. It is also a good game for improving your vocabulary. Be sure to have time to spare -- once you start, you won't want to stop!
Computer Lab hours for Parents

Questions about how to get more involved with your child? Would you like to use a computer in the lab to access ParentConnect or other parenting sites?

Summer Opportunities

Check the new page on the website: "Summer Opportunities." Just click on the page in the alphabetical list on the left side.
As we receive notification of summer opportunities for which BMS students might be eligible, they will be posted on that page.

The first posting is for Houston PREP, a mathematics-oriented course sponsored by the University of Houston.
Letters from Iraq

In early December, the PTO and the Media Center shipped over 55 "we care" packages containing items donated by students and our community to American soldiers serving in Iraq.

Recently, thank you notes have been arriving from the soldiers who received our packages. Click below to view a representative sample of the notes received. More notes are featured on a tri-board display in the front lobby.
