In math we are beginning fractions. We will be finding equivalent fractions, ordering and comparing fractions, changing between fractions and decimals, changing between mixed numbers and improper fractions, and adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators. It is very important that every student know their multiplication facts. Please practice these at home daily. The Unit 8 checkpoint on Measurement will be March 7.

This year we will be discussing US History. We are learning what is was like to live in the colonies during the 1700s and what events caused the colonies to declare independence from Britain.

Homework is assigned usually on Mondays and is due on Fridays. All homework is graded and if the student does not earn at least a 70%, they are asked to redo the assignment until it is completed correctly. Homework grades will be placed in Wednesday folders weekly along with conduct grade.
