Hello Everyone! My name is Amy LaRoe and I am the director for the Starlettes Dance Team. I am very excited about this upcoming year and happy to return to my old team. I am an alumni of Spring HS and I was also a member of the Starlettes. This is my fifth year teaching at SHS and my third year as the director of the Starlettes. The Starlettes is a wonderful group of young ladies and I am very proud to be working with this extraordinary group! The Starlettes is a group of very hard working young ladies, who strive for perfection in dance, as well as acheviement in scholastic and moral standards. Along with directing the Starlettes dance team, I also teach Dance I - IV. In the Dance I classes, we will focus on introductory dance skills, terminology, and learning the skills and discipline it takes to become a strong performer or; if desired, a Starlette. In the Dance II classes, we will focus on more advanced skills and learning different styles of dance like jazz, lyrical, and modern. In Dance III and IV, we will continue to improve dance technique but learn the art of choreography through group projects and inidividual creativity.
