Play Dough Fun
Working with clay and play-dough is and excellent way to develop the fine motor skills needed to write.
~Roll the dough between both palms to form a large ball.
~Roll the dough between fingers to form a smaller ball if wanted.
~Pinch the dough between the thumb and forefinger.
~Use both fingers to form a small ball.
~Isolate one finger and poke holes in the dough.
~Cut the dough with a blunt pair of plastic scissors.

*Play Dough*
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
1 Tbl. Oil
2 Tbl. Cream of tartar
Food coloring

Mix together. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until the consistancy of mashed potatoes. Dump onto a cookie sheet and stir until cool. Store in and airtight container.

***Use cookie cutters, pizza cutters, butter knives, rolling pins, and spatulas to manipulate the dough.***
