What is Academic Challange |
The Academic Challange is a four student team that competes against other teams answering trivia questions. Think of it as the Jeopardy! of high schools. The Westfield Academic Challange participates in TQBA texasquizbowl.org/index.htm (Texas Quiz Bowl Alliance) and the Greater Houston Academic Challenge. Westfield tries to attend a compition a month. The coach is Paul Stroud.
The normal game consists of 4 rounds: a warm-up toss-up round, a bonus round, a speed round, and a stump the experts round.
If you are interested in joining the Academic Challenge, please email Mr. Stroud at pauls@springisd.org or go to room 265.
