My love is teaching the wonderful world of Science to students in a fun environment suitable for all students to succeed. Students will go far with Mr. Spahr in Science.

First, we will learn about Matter, Mass, Weight, and Gravity and how we can prove the three states of matter (Solids, Liquids, and Gases) all have mass and take up space. We will learn that Matter has physical properties. We will measure length, volume, mass, and temperature using various science tools. Last, we will see how states of matter can change if temperatures reach boiling, melting, and freezing points.

We will discover the difference between mixtures and solutions and how to separate these back into their parts. We will see how mixtures keep physical properties and solutions change physical properties.

Our next unit will cover 6 forms of energy and how matter can be affected by energy. We will learn (1)solar, (2)heat, (3)light, (4)sound, (5)electric, and (6)electromagnetic energies. Students will see how forms of energy can change from one to the other like electricity changes to sound in radios.
